XC Round-up - February & earlier March 2025

Following a long hiatus on reporting on the activity of our members, we have over a month and a half of events to catch up on – firstly on our weekly review we look back at the Cross Country events that have taken place.

**Inter counties XC Championship**

First up we celebrate our two representatives for Athletics Norfolk  at the event at Wollaton Park, Nottingham. Both Juliette Watkinson & Alexandra Ely donned 🇩🇪Norfolk colours🇩🇪 at the national event - Jet was first home for the WAC pairing in a time of 34:01, with Alex flying home in a time of 35:36. Both ladies finished in scoring positions for the senior Norfolk ladies team with positions of 166th & 207th in a strong field - finishing 2nd & 4th Norfolk Ladies home respectively. **Ryston Series Race 5 & rearranged Race 3**

In the last month the penultimate race of the Ryston Runners AC  XC GP took place and additionally the rearranged Race 3 prior to the final race this weekend. In early February we had two runners competing in Race 5; Adrian Hall returned home first in a time of 37:54, finishing 2nd🥈 M60. Tracie Draeger  completed the 9km course in a time of 45:30 to finish 1st🥇 F60.

In the rearranged Race 3, taking place on the first weekend of March after the stormy conditions pre-christmas, we had our usual three competing around Shouldham Warren on the 6.5k course – Juliette Watkinson finished 1st female overall🥇🏆 in a time 25:43 followed by Adrian Hall (27:55) & Tracie Draeger (33:03), finished 2nd🥈🥈 in their respective M60 & F60 age categories. Well done you three! 🙌🏻
