With less than 80 places left to sell for our NYD10k, we are excited to announce that entries are now open on @totalracetiming ( https://totalracetiming.co.uk/race/661 ) - this is the third race of the @sportlinkgp Series for 2026 - Whether you are looking to enter as part of your marathon training or fancy giving the race a go in it’s own right, it’s an enjoyable and competitive event!

We had a race on home turf this week, with the EAMA 10k, and that meant 39 of our runners pulled on their pink vests to run the course. It's the same route as our New Year's Day race (last few places still available), so is always popular with our members. We had some great results, with PBs for Lorna Jermyn and Lou Boyce, and age group PBs for Chris Gay, Mark Banfield, Pete Sharpe, Elise Aho and Elaine Kleinberg.

Further afield, we had WACers at the Brighton 10k, St Neots Half Marathon, Smurf Run half and a rather muddy Eastern Counties XC event. Well done to all of our runners.

Midweek we had a lot more members pulling on either their club vests or their festive fancy dress, with midweek XC at Mousehold and the Luminate 5k at Sandringham. A great effort on the running front, and the costume front! Well done to all of our runners.

Let's Lift The Curfew!

Next week we will be supporting the England Athletics and This Girl Can Run campaign to lift the curfew.

The campaign coincides with the clocks going back and draws attention to the unwanted curfew some women feel during the darker months.

At our club night, on Monday (27 October), we'll be running a women's only group, and we'd love any women that fancy a run in the area to come and join us.

We meet at 6.30 at Kett's Park. If you'd like to join us, please send us a direct message to let us know you're coming, so we can get an idea of numbers.

All abilities welcome, we're a really friendly club and we love to see new faces.

The run will be about 5k and you'll need to bring a hi vis bib.

It's a great chance to come and give us a try.

We had lots of very happy WACers over the weekend, taking part in road and cross country races, regional and international marathons, half marathons and obstacle runs. Congratulations to Andy Baxter for completing the third and final Rat Race to Summit at Ben Nevis, Trent Terry at the Chicago Marathon and our three runners at the Chelmsford Marathon.
Elsewhre, it was PBs galore at the Great Eastern Run, with Dan Brocklehurst, Pete Morgan, Todd Lake, Jo Delf, Kim Powles, Lou Boyce and Sara Shorten all achieving their best times over the half marathon distance. Kelly Starling also celebrated a PB at the Royal Parks half and Charlie Wallis at the Anna's Hope 5k.
Finally there was cross country action at Felbrigg and Wild West Acre Wild 10k Challenge. Well done to all of our runners.

We had a large group of runners in the 🇬🇧capital🇬🇧 over the weekend and an even bigger support crew 📢🔔📣making lots of noise in the warm weather ☀️🔥 – providing maximum cheering for our hardworking runners! The first home for WAC on Sunday was @james.fowler641977.jf , finishing in a time of 2hrs 51mins 21sec, followed by @chrisbullock70 (PB🎖 - 02:56:34) & @jetwatkinson (03:09:38) to complete our top three home- well done you three.
