W/E 25.05.2024 - Banham Zoo 5k & Beat the tide

Next up on the calendar and on our weekly review was the Banham Zoo 5k fun run;

**Banham Zoo 5k Fun run**

The Saturday event took the runners around the 🦒🐅🦏Banham Zoo🦏🐅🦒 park – we had 13 runners on the day and 2 future WACers make their way around the 5k course. First back for WAC was Ross Palgrave (20:42) followed by Kate Gooding  (21:01) & Alison Armstrong (21:06).

No official PBs broken, however plenty of top three finishes with Kate Gooding finishing 1st female overall 🏆🥇and Alison close behind her in 2nd🏆🥈. Louise Stevens finished 1st senior female🥇 (21:46) with Eloise Peek  (22:22) 2nd🥈 senior female. Last but not least – Kevin Denmark finished 1st M65-69 in a time of 24:30.

There were also some amazing fancy dress costumes amongst the pack - well done to all our other runners David Powles (24:51), Katrina Minns (27:56), Kimberley Powles  (31:48), Rachael Lockwood (32:18), Louise Victoria (32:18), Dave Evans (32:53) & Paul Timson (41:47).

Congratulations also to our most recent event from Hunstanton this Sunday – no official results unfortunately, however well done Cassie Barker, Lyn Ottoway, Hilary Byrne & Rachael Lockwood. Looks like they had a lovely time in the sun at Sunny Hunny hanging out with the RNLI mascot on the beach! 🏖
