W/E 22.06.2024 - Bungay Summer Series 10k - Race 1

A week on from one of the quietest weekly reviews and we have one of the busiest with 6 separate events – 2No. 10km road races, 1 duathlon, 3 triathlons, 1 marathon & 1 Skyrace Ultra.

First up on the calendar was the Bungay 10k;

**Bungay Summer Series 10k Race 1**

Last Wednesday was the first race of the Bungay 10k series hosted by Bungay Black Dog Running Club – a glorious evening ☀️ with 33 WACers running. First back for WAC was Gareth Seville (PB🎖️) in a time of 37:48 and a new shiny PB. Gareth was followed by Mark Banfield (38:03) and then David Houghton (38:05) to complete our first three home. First WAC female home was Kate Gooding in a time of 41:20, followed by Eloise Peek  (PB🎖️ – 43:08) & Rachel Birrell (PB🎖️ – 46:10).

We had 5 new shiny Personal bests achieved that evening: - Gareth Seville (PB🎖️), Kevin Simpson (PB🎖️ – 43:02), Eloise Peek (PB🎖️), Rachel Birrell (PB🎖️) & Gillian Snook (PB🎖️ – 63:40) – Well done you lot!

We also had some placing runners to celebrate: - Mark Banfield 1st🥇 M50, David Houghton 2nd🥈M50, Kate Gooding 2nd🥈 F40, Kevin Frazer 3rd🥉 M60 (42:42), Eloise Peek 2nd🥈 FU40 & Rachel Birrell 3rd🥉 F40. – Great work and amazing job from all runners on the evening! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
