W/E 21.09.2024 - Double Club records for Todd in London plus Marriotts 10k, Ipswich Half & Thompson event

Next up on our weekly review, we continue from the previous weekend and from the Capital;

**Westminster Mile & Vitality London 10,000** 

We had two members running the Westminster mile on the Saturday – both Todd Lake & Graham Walsh mustered a new Club record 🏅 in the M60-64 & M75-79 categories with their times of 5:18 & 7:04 respectively. Todd breaking into the top 60 and finishing 2nd🥈 M60-64, with Graham finishing 1st🥇 M75-79. Todd’s weekend wasn’t finished there as he was not satisfied with a club record over the shortest road race distance; he took on the Vitality 10k the very next day and wiped off another club record with his time of 38:19 – this going one better to finish 1st🥇 M60-64. Well done to the both of you! 🙌🏻

Slightly closer to home now;

**Ipswich Half marathon**

We had 4 members traverse around the Suffolk capital – the debutant Stephen Lee was first home in a time of 94:34, followed by Lian Penson & Fay Starling (2:14:20) and Paul Timson (3:17:22). Well done you four and nice to see the new colours 💜🤍 Stephen! 🙌🏻

Lastly we look at the two local events – firstly Sam Barry was our only representative at the Thompson Millennium Green 10k event – finishing 49th with a time of 54:24 – Well done Sam! 🙌🏻

Last up the very popular event along Marriott’s Way;

**Marriott’s Way 10k**

The event hosted by Broadland and South Norfolk Council had 12 WAC members starting in Aylsham and finishing in the marketplace in Reepham. First home for WAC was Jacob Kenworthy 🏆🥉 in a time of 37:00, finishing 3rd home overall. Next home was Eloise Peek (PB🎖️ – 42:44) followed by Matthew Hooton (43:49), Kevin Simpson (44:05), Niall Scott (49:51), Kevin Denmark (51:01), Dave Evans (55:22), Tracy Stevens (60:07), Gillian Snook (66:03), Jo Rayner (66:04), Emma Jaggs (80:26) & Laura Seville (80:26).

Eloise was our sole 🚨PB🚨 from the race along with her 3rd female 🏆🥉overall place along with Matthew Hooton finishing 3rd M40-44 & Kevin Denmark 2nd🥈 M65-69.
