W/E 19.10.24 - EACCL Summer R2, Jurassic Coast Ultra, Lakeland Trails 10k & Sapiston Trail

First up on our weekly review we start off road!

**EACCL Summer series Race 2**

Just before the winter EACCL’s races reappear for the XC season we had 7 members venture up to the North Norfolk coast on Wednesday last week to take part in the 2nd of the 2 ‘Summer’ races. Adrian Hall was first WACer back and 3rd overall 🏆🥉, followed by Claire Brown who was 6th overall & 2nd female back 🏆🥈. Next home was Tracie Draeger, Dennis Carter, Eva Osborne, Jo Rayner & Amanda Gray – Well done all & our team finished 3rd 🏆🥉 in the two part summer series! 🙌🏻

Our next race was a bit further, in distance overall & distance from home, than the previous off-road race;

**🦖🦕 Jurassic Coast Ultra 🦕🦖**

We had three WAC runners travel down to Dorset for the Maverick Race  along the Jurassic Coast taking place last Saturday – all three took on the ‘long course’ Ultra which was 54km with a little bit of elevation included – only ⛰1210m overall⛰! The trio of David Powles, Matt Webster & Kate Gooding made it safely around the course in a time of 7hrs 27mins 9secs, although it looks like Dave enjoyed the mud a bit too much! 🟫🐾🟫 🙌🏻

Staying off road and still out of the county;

**Lakeland Trails Ullswater 10k**

On Sunday the second WAC family member of the Powles household was up north; Kimberley Powles took part in the Lakeland Trails Ullswater 10k event. Not the first WAC member to take part in the popular events up in the lakes, Kim finished the 11.15km course, with quite a bit of 🏔elevation🏔, in a time of 66:57- Well done Kim in slightly different conditions to her Husband 💦💧! 🙌🏻

Our last off road event this week was closer to home, just over the border in Suffolk;

**Sapiston Trail run**

The event including a 5k or 10k race hosted by Run Breckland, was attended by both Will Parker & Tony Beales – both opting for the 10k route which they completed in 48:14 & 55:44 respectively - Will picking up a 3rd place 🏆🥉in the process. Well done to both of you! 🙌🏻
