Next up on our Weekly review, we cover four events from mid-February. First up is a quick trip over the 🇺🇸pond🇺🇸!
**Kissimmee 5K**
Our Membership Secretary did what any runner does when they are on holiday….. find a local race to run in! This one was a family affair as Susan Guest and her daughter took part in a local 5k whilst in Florida – Sue romped home in a time of 23:31 to finish 3rd female overall 🥉🏆, however she was unfortunately outdone by daughter Charlotte, who finished 1st. Well done Sue. 🙌🏻
**❤️ Stamford Striders Valentines 30K ❤️**
From the same weekend, we had two runners travel to Lincolnshire for the Stamford Striders St. Valentines 30k race – first home for WAC was Harriet Carr in a time of 2:05:15 and a 3rd Female overall 🥉🏆finish. Our other runner was Richard Broughton, who also finished in a brilliant time of 02:19:51. Well done you two! 🙌🏻
**London Winter Run 10k**
Kevin Denmark made his way down to London for the 10k course around the Capital’s streets, navigating the closed road and passing some of London’s most iconic landmarks, including St. Paul’s Cathedral and Trafalgar Square. Kevin completed the route in a time 54:50 – Well done KD! 🙌🏻
**Tarpley 10 / 20 mile event**
We had 12 members who travelled into Suffolk for the Tarpley event hosted by Saint Edmund Pacers on the outskirts of Bury St. Edmunds. 3 WACers took on the 10 mile course; first home for WAC was Chris Gay in a time of 57:33, a new 🚨shiny🚨 PB🎖️ and also a club record🏅 whilst achieving a 6th placed overall finish and 2nd M40 placing. Our other two finishers were the pairing of Chris Greenough (01:19:03 ) & Nik Greenough (01:20:45) – well done you three! 🙌🏻
