W/E 08.03.25 - TTP Cambridge Half Marathon

First up on our weekly review…. The big one everyone looks forward too at this stage of the season;

** TTP Cambridge Half Marathon**

The event hosted by OSB Events traverses through all the beautiful colleges in and around the historic city of Cambridge and the flat route makes for some exciting time – unfortunately for the 41 WAC members, the ☀️sun shone☀️ brightly - where has that heat gone now! 🥶🥶

Not for the first time tonight, the first WACer home was Steven Mcnicholas, flying home in a time of 76:47 and closely followed by James Fowler (79:50) & Gareth Seville (PB🎖️ 81:21) to round off our first three members home. Our first female WAC member on the day was Claire Kent finishing in a time of 90:36, quickly followed by Jo Delf (PB🎖️ - 93:01) & then Claire Brown (97:14). Well done all of you! 🙌🏻

Even with the heat, we still had some 🚨shiny🚨 new Personal best & Age Group PBs – first up our PBers; Gareth Seville (PB🎖️), Tim Seville (PB🎖️ - 89:50), Jo Delf (PB🎖️), Craig Skipper (PB🎖️ - 93:28), Lisa Greengrass (PB🎖️ - 01:40:57) & Dani Gilbert (PB🎖️ - 01:43:47). Our AGPBers on the day were; Billy Wheeler (AGPB🎖️ - 84:15), Ben Smith (AGPB🎖️ - 89:29), Tracy Stevens (AGPB🎖️ - 02:02:31) & Katie Whitmore (AGPB🎖️ - 02:05:39). Also to go along with Tim Seville’s new Personal Best on the day, he also set a new Club record🏅 – Congratulations Tim and well done all!🙌🏻

Tim ended his day with a trifecta as he added a 3rd🥉place M65-69 finish to his new Club Record and Personal Best. Elsewhere Claire Brown added more silverware to her mantelpiece as her amazing run on the day secured 2nd🥈place in the F60-64 category – well done you two!🙌🏻
