W/E 30.03.2024 - Final race of the EACCL season - WAC are double champions for the second year running

Lastly on our weekly review, we go back to last Wednesday and the conclusion of the EACCL - East Anglian Cross Country League season. Race 10, being the final race of the series, was ran over a shorter distance to allow for the presentations. We had 17 WAC runners on the day – Juliette Watkinson was first🥇 home on the short route with Alison Armstrong 🥈and Kate Gooding 🥉following in to complete our ladies A-team. On the longer route Matt Webster was home first followed by Dave Houghton, Paul Fairchild and Will Parker completing our 4 A-team scoring men.


In the following presentation it was confirmed for the second year running that WAC completed the Men’s🏆 and Ladies🏆 league title double. In the ladies individual league Jet finished 1st🥇 with Ali and Kate finishing 2nd🥈 and 3rd🥉 respectively. Claire Brown finished 5th, meaning that 4 WAC members filled the top 5 places. In the Men’s individual league Matt finished runner up🥈 with Bod in 5th place and Will Parker in his debut EACCL season finishing 9th.


Congratulations to Jet for winning the F40🥇🏆, Claire Brown won the F60🥇🏆 and in the Men’s league congratulations to Bod winning the M50🥇🏆 and club legend Rodney winning the M85🥇🏆.
The perfect 10 awards (those who ran all 10 series races) went to Bod🏅, Ali🏅, Robbie Starling🏅,Rodney🏅, Tony Beales🏅 and Tracie Draeger🏅.
