Last but very much not least to report; we go onto the major event of the weekend and the Major marathon in Berlin – we had 6 WAC members running the streets of the German capital and all 6 absolutely smashed it! Alison Armstrong was first home in an amazing time of 2:59:14 with a 30 minute PB, joining a very exclusive club at WAC in breaking the 3 hour marathon mark. Next up was Matt Goode (3:22:10) with a 6 minute PB from his effort in Manchester earlier this year, just before Mark Armstrong. Everyone at WAC, and the wider running community, would have breathed a collective sigh of relief as Mark hit his well-deserved marathon goal and broke the 3:30 mark with a time of 3:26:40. Wendy Burgess also smashed her PB, knocking 13 minutes off her previous time with her 4:02:55 effort before Mr Major Marathon himself, Keith Blake came in with another brilliant time on the day 04:11:29. Last PB on the day was Trent Terry, knocking another big lump of his Brighton marathon from earlier this year with a time of 4:27:09. Amazing effort from all of you at the BERLIN-MARATHON #TeamWAC
