This week in review the our XC captain’s race of the calendar The brilliant Reepham XC hosted at 🚂 Whitwell And Reepham Station 🚈 on Marriott’s Way by Reepham Runners. Although the famous rope assisted river crossing was omitted this year due to the high water levels recently 😱, the ☢️ boggy swamps ☢️ still lived up to brilliant standards! An ever popular event amongst our members (and our supporters too🤣), we had 16 runners on the day.
First back on the day for WAC and overall was Matt Webster 🏆🥇(41:19) with Alison Armstrong 🏆🥇(47:34) making it a double on the day, finishing 1st in the ladies event. Other placing runners on the day were Kate Gooding 2nd female overall 🥈(49:49), Adrian Hall 1st M50-59 🥇(47:54), Louise Stevens🥈 & Kathryn Heaney🥉 finishing 2nd & 3rd in the FO category in a time of 57:07. The XC legend Keith Blake🥈joined the ladies by finishing in a time of 57:07 and swooping 2nd M60+.
Well done to all our runners for making it around the gruelling and extremely smelly course; this included Jamie Harris (46:31), David Powles (47:51), Claire Woodcroft (51:10), Lisa Greengrass (51:19), Mark Tufts (54:56), Tony Beales (55:49), Dee Middleton-Hall (87:11), Emma Jaggs (87:11) & Clare Suter (95:19). 🙌🏻🙌🏻
