W/E 11.01.25 - Runners-Next-the-Sea 5 mile race

For this week’s reports we stay off road as we take in some miles on the beach and in the forest!

First up we head to the 🏖North Norfolk coast🏖;

**Runners-next-the-Sea 5 mile Beach run**

The 3rd annual event hosted by Runners next the Sea was attended by 14 WACers; enjoying the 🌳trail🌳 part along the coastal path from Holkham heading west before venturing out onto the 🏖beach🏖 and head home – however the shallow water crossing, expertly 📸photographed📸 by the event, was in the way before finishing the 5 mile event!

First home for WAC was Matt Webster (33:17) followed by Peter Morgan (37:22) & Harriet Carr (38:22). Our first male & female home scooping up overall prizes in either race; Matt finished 3rd place🏆🥉 overall & Harriet was 1st female 🏆🥇overall – well done you two!

Other age category winners were; Peter Morgan 1st🥇 M40-44, Alexandra Ely 1st🥇 F45-49 (40:00), Kim Reader 3rd🥉 F50-54 (48:08) & Kevin Denmark 1st🥇 M65+ (48:39). Well done to you all and well done to Eloise Peek (40:07), Robbie Starling (42:40), the trio of Kate Gooding, Keith Blake & Alison Armstrong (all 43:36), Kevin Garwood (46:06), Dave Evans (50:44) & Sue Stirling (54:11) for completing the tough beach course! 🙌🏻
